The creative mind behind the stories

In 1993 I took a Literature class at Northern Kentucky University. One week in and the Professor took me aside and said If I couldn't spell any better, I might want to drop his class. Being the David that I am, I challenged him and continued the class. Apparently I understood something he had tried to convey his whole career. That God was still alive and well, and was behind much of the literature, you just had to find it. I still can't spell but in his class I got a B+. The catch was that I promised to continue to write and publish my work. Well does this qualify.

Literary Stories/Blogs by William Ware

From Science-Politics-Literature-Blogs-Genealogy-Photography-and Personal Stories, this website is a collage of the 20th century and beyond. My hope is that it will become a historical document. Not only documenting my autobiography but the Biography of the United States and World events. The following link is to an old Blog that I no longer control. the site still appears to be viable and latte I will cut and paste it here but for now https://megathena.blogspot.com/
What is a Spigloo?
The name Spigloo comes from the words Space and Igloo. I made up the word, therefor I can define it. You might think of it as a man made planet. A habitable piece of real estate in space with an internal atmosphere as oposed to the earths external atmosphere. Multi-layered with ice as it's primary component to prevent radiation and loss of air, and insulate from space extreme cold.Initially Spigloo would be placed in a high earth orbit. Eventually a Spigloo could be placed into an orbit around the Sun that would pass close to both Earth and Mars. Spaceships traveling to Mars would only need to travel a few thousand miles to rendezvous and transfer thier cargoo to Spigloo for the remaining trip.

A Photographic Journey through my Lifetime as it affected me
1947 to 1959
Born just after WW2 and the atomic bomb I do not remember Woodrow Wilson. My first memories of politics was from newsreels at the movie theater. and Dwight David Eisenhour. I was the youngest of of 3 brothers 3 sisters, Rick my younger brother was 10 years younger than I. Most movies on TV were live, Desi Arnez was the first to record "I Love Lucy", and Racism had not yet been defined, Boy Scouts molded my life, and Newspapers and Magazines Dominated the News.
1960 to 1969
My Teenage years: Assignations, Civil Unrest, Viet Nam, Sports, Space Travel. The Beatles and "Woodstock" dominated the Decade. I started working for FDA Monday following my Senior final Exams. Didn't even have a High School Diploma yet. Lost my wife to an auto accident, and became a single father. The Draft was active and yes I was drafted by the Army. I joined the Air Force to avoid the draft but soon received an honorable discharge for reasons still unknown to me.
1970 to 1979
Yes that was my 1970 Plymouth Baracuta, I got married, then divorced and married again. Cincinnati (my home town) started their first Football team "The Cincinnati Bangles" in honor of the first white Bangle tiger in the United States. Disco and Rubik cube, Star Wars movie, and Video Games were in and the first warnings of global warming were out. The phrase "Thrill of Victory and The Agony of Defeat" was coined after a tragic US Skier took a tragic but not fatal fall, I watched it Live. Family was first, I now had over 50 brothers, sisters, nephews etc.
Favorites
1980 to 1989
Just before Regan took office Iran released hostages. Typewriters were out Computers were taking over everything, Records were replaced by tapes and then CD's. all in one decade The Berlin Wall was down, and Disasters dominated the Decade. 1984 Union Carbide accident in Bhopal India, 1986 worst industrial accident in history, Chernobyl nuclear disaster 1986. Valdez Oil Spill 1989 was worse oil spill in U.S. Michael Jackson was King. and I was the not so proud owner of a YUGO. I now lived on 45 Acres in Kentucky, with help of neighbors built my house. AID's was scaring the world, The Jarvak 7 artificial heart transplants were almost common. The green dragon off I-75 in Tennessee was my favorite photograph. And in 1983 I confirmed the first case of Listeria in foods (Jalisco Cheese) in history.
1990 to 1999
On February 11, 1990 Nelson Mandela walked out of prison and 4 years later became South Africa's Head of State. In 1994 the book "Hot Zone" was released. What made this so significant was that we had 24 Microbiologist and no-one had ever heard of Ebola Virus. and in 1994 O.J. Simpsons Bronco Chase, Captivated the U.S. and in 1995 was found not guilty of murder. 1993 FBI torched the Banch Davidian church killing most of the women and children inside. The first Jurassic Park movie was released. Two of my children and I started flying lessons. Pagers were quickly replaced by flip Phones. In 1996 just after the Atlanta Olympics Games I moved to Canton Georgia due to FDA closing the Cincinnati District, I had my new house build by professionals, much better that the one I built. In 1998 I quit smoking after over 40 years and a week latter attended my first "Dragon Con" where I was met by a Time Traveler. (yea I was hallucinating from nicotine withdrawal) . and the decade ended with Y2K hysteria
2020 to 2023
I don't know what happened to 2000-2009 and 2010-2019 Lost in my computer somewhere. Only 3 years and I have an entire decade of material. It was June 2020 that I got the call that we needed to go to Texas, get my great grandson and get back out of Texas within 24 Hours, or he would end up in Children Services custody. Between COVID and the Trump situation, my main concern was raising the fantastic child. Turns out in 2024 I lost him to Children Services in Kentucky with a court order restraining me from all contact. One year latter and I still have not heard how he is doing.

2010 to 2020 . The second decade of the 21st century saw the beginning of a ferret infestation in my home. Actually they were pets, but when 18 of the beast had free roam of the house they were both a blessing and a curse. Their short lifespan 3-6 years, and propensity to cancer became both expensive and heartbreaking. On May 2,2011 Ossma Bin Laden (accused mastermind of the 911 attack on the US) was taken out. October 2012 Hurricane Sandy made landing and flooded New York City. Nov 2012 Colorado was the first state to legalize Marijuana as a recreational drug, leading to the current 2026 federal declassification. I have been a fan of Ryobi battery powered tools for about a decade, but it was about 2010 that I added the 40v lawn equipment. Every spring I would spend hours, or Days getting the mower let alone other gas powered lawn equipment running after a winter of storage. With battery equipment it can sit for years and just pop in a fresh battery to get going. After 7 years of retirement it was time to finish my BS degree at Kennesaw University. Well, that never happened. The summer of 2012 domestic dispute led to the first time in my life ever spending the night in Jail. They never charged me with a crime but the legal battle for the next year would leave a lifetime scar, and a middle finger to society. 2012 was also a milestone in space travel with Voyager (launched in 1977) entered Stellar Space and as of today 2026 although dormant it still remains a viable instrument, Rovers also landed on Mars and as of 2026 are still producing information. I included a photograph of a grandmother in 1956 contrasted to a great grandmother in 2019. In 2014 I purchased a house in Sunrise Kentucky that would be a significant part of our family until 2025, That first year we found two puppies under a storage shed on the property, one of them Leonardo became our family pet and is still with us today 2026. 3D printing controversy occurred when someone published a blueprint for a functioning handgun that could pass airport security and be printed by anyone possessing a cheap 3D printer. You may remember the 1993 scare when Ebola was discovered in monkey (book and movie “Hot Zone”). In 2014 human to human Ebola came to the USA. I was horrified to see them washing the virus down the sewer drain with a garden hose. Still wondering if that virus is lingering around the environment somewhere. In 2016 I didn’t vote for either party. Politics had gotten so bad the if a third party ever stood a chance to become President it was that year. I had no Idea what would be in store for the United States over the next 10 years. In 2018 I almost lost my life twice. In January it was a blood clot lodged in the groin three surgeries. And a few months latter MERSA an antibiotic resistant Staph Aureus septic infection. Just before passing out in the emergency room I witnessed 3 black female nurses shaking their heads, like “just give it up, He in gone” to the male nurse that was franticly trying to revive me. I did survive Obviously, but spent 3 weeks in the hospital. That same year my granddaughter Dezarae gave birth to Angelica, who with her brother would become a big part of the rest of my life. The Opioid epidemic beginning about 2016 along with fentanyl and Covid would take many family members both young and old. Immigration and southern border security was a big issue in the late second decade, but the real impact wouldn’t occur until after 2020.
Some people predicted it would be the end of the world but Y2K was pretty much of a nothing, except some calculations that didn't know if it was 1900 or 2000 because they only used the last two digits for a date. My son Anthony dominated the decade with his military service. Just before Sept 11, 2001, he enlisted into the Navy. He hadn't even finished Basic Training before the U.S. was attacked on that fateful day September 11, 2001. He was immediately sent to Iraq, but first they gave him a few days leave to attend his grandmothers (my mothers ) funeral. Enron collapse was the big event of the year, and photography developing as we knew it would end and go digital, thus the Photomat kiosk that were just beginning to flourish vanished. I acquired my first passport and joined a doctors team to provide medical services to a community in Nicaragua. Space X was started and I almost bought stock in it, but the window of opportunity was small, and I really didn't think he would succeed in my lifetime. In 2006 Neil Degras Tyson convinced the entire world that Pluto was not a planet as I had been taught. In 2005, following a 4 year tour in Iraq, Tony was deployed to Gulfport Mississippi, just in time for Huricane Katrina. His father in-laws house was destroyed and we drove down to support them. Graphene was discovered in 2004. The housing market collapse and stock market crash in 2007 left my 404K a weee bit shy of my predictions. The photo is the first selfie I ever took with a phone. I didn't know I didn't need the mirror. I have played video games before playstation, before Xbox (HALO), Nintendo, even before Atari there was Pong in the arcade rooms. But, as of today 20 years latter I am still playing Fallout 4. About 2006 after taking an honorable discharge from the Navy and spending another year in Iraq with Haliburton Tony enlisted in the Army and was deployed to Afghanistan where a vehicle he was in hit an IED in 2009 and after 3 months in the hospital gave him a 90% disability.

Niko! I love you you were my world I will never stop looking

Ca
  • Sept 4,2025 Yesterday your mother, father and I.went to court in Cynthiana Kentucky, After spending all day waiting we were last to be seen. once again, they denied me even access to the court room. so the only information I get is from your mother. apparently they have two options, return you to your mother and father (not likely) or adopt you out, never to see your family again. They defered the decission util November 2025. With the Option to sign over custody for adoption or spend 20 years in jail plus child support. They wisely chose to sign the children over. Either way they would never see the children again. Neither would anyone else.
